Albums Of 2010 - No. 40 to No. 31

40. Klaxons 'Surfing The Void' -
Some all-out new rave monsters on here. But some horrors, too.

39. Laura Marling 'I Speak Because I Can' -
Queen of Nu-Folk still to bring home the bacon. Or a consistently great album.

38. We Are Scientists 'Barbara' -
Another solid attempt to prove that they're not just a comedy act.

37. Bombay Bicycle Club 'Flaws' -
Zane Lowe calls it his album of the year. I call it resplendent, but 'flawed' in parts.

36. Tokyo Police Club 'Champ' -
What've these gotta do to get some validation? Strong but overlooked.

35. MGMT 'Congratulations' -
Fuck the industry, sure. But at least put a single on the damn thing.

34. Kate Nash 'My Best Friend Is You' -
In a land devoid of GaGa, Florence, Ellie et al, this would rightly do wonders.

33. Warpaint 'The Fool' -
Calm down, hipsters. They're not that good. Couple out-and-out smashers, though.

32. Yeasayer 'Odd Blood' -
More coherent than they're first, the Brooklynites are prospering into something special.

31. Band Of Horses 'Infinite Arms' -
More coherent than they're first two, the Seattleites are prospering into something special.
